Delta, Northwest see narrow traffic gains

Even after capacity cuts last year, Delta Air Lines carried 0.8% more traffic than it did in 2007, the company announced Wednesday. Planes were more full, as well: 81.5% in 2008 vs. 80.4% in 2007. Traffic was also up 1.1% at Delta's Northwest Airlines subsidiary, where the load factor reached 83.8%.
