Boeing production rises in '09, but net orders plummet

Boeing saw its net orders plummet to 142 in 2009, down from 662 net orders in 2008 and reaching the lowest level since 1994, when it had 125 orders. The company won 263 gross orders, but saw 121 cancellations in 2009, including 83 canceled orders for the 787 Dreamliner. The company's production pace was up from the 375 aircraft delivered in 2008 to 480 or 485 in 2009.
