While Yahoo! detailed more of its plans Thursday to bring Internet content to TV screens, rivals were doing the same this week. All were exhibiting technologies for creating software to bring Web content and services via new set-top devices, which were also on display. Companies such as Vudu, DivX, Boxee, Roku, Samsung and Syabas Technology joined Yahoo! in introducing software and hardware to enable such Web-based services. In France, Orange and LG Electronics introduced their own model for the future of IPTV.
