Some teachers support opting out of standardized tests

Some critics of standardized testing supported Saturday's National Opt Out Day, which is part of a national movement to draw attention to the deficiencies of the exams. The movement includes a planned "Occupy"-style demonstration at the Department of Education in March. Supporters say that in many states, it is legal for parents to opt children out of state standardized tests.
