Tools help improve communication in children with disabilities

Therapists at The Children's Center in Bethany, Okla., are using iPad tablet computers to help support and enhance communication and learning for children with disabilities. Other high-tech tools such as the MyTobii and the Xbox 360 with Kinect application also are being used at the center, which offers residential and outpatient care and services to children with disabilities and complex medical conditions. "These are exciting ways to push the communication of these kids further than we ever imagined," said Dr. Darin Brannan, the center's medical director.
