AT&T touts 10 million smartphone sales in fourth quarter

AT&T pointed to a strong fourth quarter by saying that it sold more than 10 million smartphones, which one analyst estimates boiled down to about 7.2 million iPhones and 2.2 Android handsets. In an interview, AT&T Mobility chief Ralph de la Vega discussed the carrier's plans for 2013, including security issues for its new Digital Life home monitoring program, the future of mobile payments, Windows Phones and tablets.
