Financial firms are advising retirement experts and plan administrators to exercise care when considering a move from a client's traditional 401(k) plan to a Roth 401(k) after the American Taxpayer Relief Act last week eased restrictions on doing so. Questions remain about whether the Internal Revenue Service will allow safe-harbor 401(k) plans to transfer to in-plan Roth 401(k) plans in 2013, according to this article.
