Motorola scanner addresses mobile devices and 2D codes

Motorola Solutions has developed the MP6000, a scanner that works quickly on traditional, paper-based bar codes, as well as codes on mobile devices and 2D codes. "Almost all consumers are carrying smartphones nowadays, and this kind of interaction is desired by them," said John Britts, senior director of product management. "In addition, there is an increased use of 2D bar codes. This system was developed to address both trends."
