Natus pays $18.6M for Astro-Med's monitoring device business

Natus Medical has agreed to pay $18.6 million to acquire Astro-Med's Grass Technologies Product Group, which develops EEG devices as well as sleep and long-term epilepsy monitors. The deal will allow Natus to boost its disposable product portfolio, gain entry into neurodiagnostic research and expand its footprint in certain foreign markets, CEO Jim Hawkins said.
