Opinion: No connection with wind turbine sound, health problems

A study sponsored by Wisconsin regulators failed to find solid evidence that low-frequency sounds from a wind farm in Brown County, Wis., are causing health problems in nearby residents, writes Chris Rickert. Of the three houses where such sounds were detected, only one was the sound from outside the house itself, and researchers are not sure if it caused any health complaints, Rickert states. "Regarding health impacts from inaudible sound, it's important to note that these sounds are not new or unique to wind turbines," said Tyson Cook, a scientist at Clean Wisconsin.
