Sandy-related insured losses may exceed $20B, Fitch says

Property/casualty insurers have reported $16 billion to $17 billion in losses from Hurricane Sandy, and overall losses are likely to reach $20 billion or higher, Fitch Ratings says. Flooding and business-interruption claims have posed difficulty in estimating total losses, the ratings firm said.
