Stihl will be the sponsor of Reach Out Worldwide, a network of first responders who have worked during times of natural disaster. The company will provide the group with chainsaws and augers, and will train members how to use them, according to Roger Phelps, Stihl's promotional communications manager. "We need the highest-quality products that will get the job done every time, and Stihl is our brand of choice," said J.D. Dorfman, the operations manager of the group.
