AT&T data program draws criticism from lawmaker

An AT&T program that will offer preferred treatment to websites and applications that are willing to pay extra is "threatening the open Internet," says Rep. Anna Eshoo, D-Calif. AT&T users would be able to access the websites in the program without using part of their wireless data plan. At least one Republican lawmaker defended the program.
