Outsourcing connectivity becomes more cost-effective than building in house

There are arguments for acquiring exchange connectivity from third-party vendors and building custom systems, but over time, developing connectivity internally becomes steadily more complex and expensive to maintain, says Gerry Turner, executive director for Object Trading. "Outsourcing connectivity ... makes sense because it offers banks faster, more cost-efficient access to the marketplace," he notes.
