Report: Shorter season brings smaller online sales rise

Online shopping rose 10% in November and December, according to comScore, falling short of the 14% forecast as consumers crammed their shopping into a shorter season. "With just three weeks of online shopping between Thanksgiving and Christmas, consumers did not have the same opportunity to buy that they would have in a more typical holiday season," comScore Chairman Gian Fulgoni said.
