Embryome licenses UW-Madison stem cell technology

California-based Embryome Sciences has signed a licensing agreement that involves the stem cell technology patents held by the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The deal includes 173 patents and patent applications covering human embryonic stem cell technology, and the company intends to use the technology to make new medical and research products.
