District has first science teacher receive National Board Certification

A middle school educator is the first science teacher in any public or private Princeton, N.J., school to earn National Board Certification. Erin Chiaravalloti was certified in chemistry, and the distinction comes just after an announcement by the National Research Council of the National Academies that students taught by National Board Certified Teachers perform better on assessments than those who are not.
