HRT may help protect women from colorectal cancer

A 15-year study of 56,733 women found a 48% reduction in colorectal cancer risk for those who took an estrogen plus progestin hormone regimen for two to five years. Any use of estrogen therapy reduced the risk of colorectal cancer by 17%, the researchers said.
