Occupancy rates over New Year's give Orlando something to celebrate

The holidays gave hotels in the Orlando, Fla., area the gift of an occupancy boost that was the second largest in the country's top 25 lodging markets. Occupancies for the week ending Jan. 3 were up 14.7% compared with the same week a year ago. Nationally, occupancies dropped by 0.5% during the same week.
