Study finds increasing rates of melanoma

Researchers found an increase in U.S. cases of the skin cancer melanoma, especially among older men. Study data show melanoma rates increased by 3.1% annually from 1992 to 2004. The researchers say because the rate is up for both genders and across all social groups, the numbers indicate a true increase in skin cancer cases, not just better screening.
