Airlines will monitor capacity closely in 2012, analyst says

U.S. airlines will continue to keep a close eye on capacity in 2012, analysts say. Now "airlines are more focused on profit than on ego," said Henry Harteveldt, an analyst with Atmosphere Research Group. Airlines used to make changes to routes twice a year, but now change capacity on a monthly or quarterly basis.
