Arkema, Oxis to work on polymer lithium-sulfur battery systems

Arkema and British firm Oxis Energy will co-develop polymer-based lithium-sulfur batteries, which are expected to supplement lithium-ion systems. "The use of designer compounds, currently undergoing development by Arkema, could have remarkable results in improving the power available for use in polymer lithium sulfur battery systems," said Oxis CEO Huw Hampson Jones.
