BP switches on Pa.'s biggest wind farm

BP Wind Energy's Mehoopany wind farm in Pennsylvania's Wyoming County has achieved operational status. The $250 million, 88-turbine wind farm is the biggest in the state, capable of generating enough power for 40,000 households. The wind farm delivers power to Old Dominion Electric Cooperative in Virginia and Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative under long-term deals.
