First Wind eyes at least 500 MW of new projects this year

First Wind is anticipating that its business will grow by as much as 50% this year after Congress extended the wind-energy Production Tax Credit. The company's goal is to begin working on at least 500 megawatts of wind projects this year, said CEO Paul Gaynor. "That will mean jobs and investment, and consumers will be getting clean energy at a competitive price," Gaynor said.
