Md. museum seeks donations to purchase C-123

The Hagerstown Aviation Museum in Maryland is seeking $70,000 from donors to purchase a 1956 C-123K Provider. The aircraft was popular during the Vietnam War for its ability to take off and land on short runways. The museum's collection is housed in a section of the former Fairchild plant where 13 of its aircraft were built, including the C-123.
