Report: Seasonal sales hit $248.8 billion

U.S. retail sales in November and December rose 2.5% over the same period in 2011, to $248.8 billion, according to a report from ShopperTrak. NRF, which forecast a 4.1% increase at the beginning of the season, will release its holiday sales results at the BIG Show in New York City on Tuesday.
