Steeple being restored on 130-year-old Va. church

The 150-foot steeple of the historic Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lynchburg, Va., is being repaired and restored to preserve its original look. A part of the church roof needed attention, as the building faced wear and tear over 13 decades. The steeple's finial was repaired to help it withstand the elements and support a brass cross, and it all should last for another 130 years, said roofing foreman Lyle Bandurski.
