Study: Early-intervention programs may miss some children

Many children younger than age 3 who would qualify for early-intervention services are not receiving them, according to a recent national study by University of Colorado School of Medicine researchers. They found that states' eligibility criteria vary widely, with 2% to 78% of children meeting the criteria depending on where they live.
