Marketing research firms share holiday recaps

Black Friday discounts may not have been as deep as shoppers expected, according to the 360pi Holiday Report, which studied prices on more than 8,000 items at 23 retailers from Nov. 15 to Dec. 2. A separate study from ForeSee found that multi-channel retailers stressed service, and that low prices have a better chance of generating customer loyalty.
