Miss. pilots program to promote job skills

Seven counties in Mississippi will pilot a program -- backed by state lawmakers and business leaders -- aimed at creating a pipeline of skilled workers to meet business leaders' needs. The Mississippi Tech Master Scholars program will focus on high-school students who meet specific criteria. Students in the program will be honored and receive certifications. Employers also will be encouraged to consider the students for future employment.
