Quest Diagnostics, UCSF to identify biomarkers for tailored treatment

Quest Diagnostics has teamed up with scientists from the University of California, San Francisco, to create new diagnostic tools for autism, neurology, cancer and women's health. The agreement covers two projects. One involves an effort to determine the genetic basis of developmental disorders. The other is focused on finding biomarkers to help develop treatment plans for pediatric brain cancer patients, and it will incorporate imaging tools.
