Red Hat pours money, support into CentOS initiatives

Open-source platform Red Hat has announced plans to become more involved in the leadership and funding of the CentOS Project's cloud operating initiatives. Red Hat will create a new project governing board, fund key employees' salaries and offer support of CentOS. Project Chair Karanbir Singh blogged that the partnership is meant to take overcome CentOS' "failure to grow organically beyond the platform."
