Study: Half of U.S. broadband homes watch over-the-top video

About 50% of U.S. homes with broadband capabilities take advantage of over-the-top video services provided by companies such as Amazon, and they spend about $27 more per month on video than the $40 average spent by all broadband homes, per a Parks Associates report released at the Consumer Electronics Show this week.
