Illinois trying to boost interest in drug discount club

In an effort to boost lagging interest in the Illinois drug discount program, state officials plan to reduce the $25 enrollment fee and spend $200,000 to promote the project. One year after it was launched, the buying club has only about 14,200 dues-paying members, and enrollment has declined over the past five months. Officials initially projected 1.5 million seniors and disabled persons would qualify for the program.
