Health care gap widens between Hispanics, whites

While racial disparities in health care between whites and minority groups appear to be making improvements, an exception is among Hispanics, who are falling further behind whites when it comes to getting medical care, according to federal officials. The areas where the gap is widening include treatment for mental illness, diabetes and tuberculosis, and there also are increasing gaps in dental care for children and swift treatment for injury or illness.
