House approves bill mandating cargo inspection

The House on Tuesday approved a measure to require airlines to inspect all cargo placed on passenger jetliners. Critics say the bill would create excessive costs and that it may be impossible for airlines to inspect 100% of air cargo. The White House has opposed several aspects of the bill and says it will not support it as currently drafted.
