Affymetrix, Illumina reach $90M settlement over patent suit

Illumina will pay Affymetrix $90 million to settle a patent-infringement case that involved competing genetic data products. Under the terms of the settlement, both companies will dismiss all lawsuits and counterclaims. Affymetrix also agreed not to sue Illumina, its affiliates and its clients for the production, use or sale of Illumina's current or future products for four years.
