DR Congo fighting stokes ethnic tensions

Ongoing violence between the Democratic Republic of Congo's army and ethnic Tutsi rebels led by Laurent Nkunda is stirring up volatile ethnic tensions that hark back to the 1994 genocide in neighboring Rwanda. Many Congolese view the rebels as fighting a proxy war for Rwanda, but rebels say they are only fighting to protect DR Congo's Tutsi minority.
