Fla. town officials suggest leaf-blowing hours

A community board in Naples, Fla., is proposing a regulation that would limit the use of leaf blowers from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The restriction, which would only apply to commercial contractors, is part of an effort to cut down on noise pollution. "This applies only to licensed commercial lawn service contractors. Private residents can go out with a leaf blower on Sunday to their heart's content," said Community Services Director Dave Lykins.
