Louisiana health system project stopped over code requirements

DeSoto Regional Health System, in Louisiana, has been issued a cease-and-desist order pertaining to a renovation effort to allow for growth of the facility's outpatient oncology services. The renovation was being conducted without some permits required under the state's strict new construction code, and a complete review of plans had not been presented to officials.
