Asset purchases are a crucial issue for central bank, Fed's Bullard says

Properly managing the Federal Reserve's asset-purchase program is the biggest challenge facing the U.S. central bank's policymakers, said Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis President James Bullard. He said the Fed must adjust the program so it supports growth without fueling inflation. Mr. Bullard said he was disappointed that markets had focused almost entirely on interest rates while overlooking effects of the Fed's quantitative-easing policies.
