If you accept the wrong job, be prepared to eat humble pie

If you initially turn down one job offer in favor of another but later change your mind and want to accept the original position, it's going to require a lot on your part to get the rejected employer to reconsider you. "Companies are a lot like human beings. Once a human being is offended by another, it is difficult to ever feel the same way about that person again," said Al Stewart, a career management expert.
