Tesoro seeks sale of refinery, retail stations in Hawaii

Tesoro intends to sell its assets in Hawaii, including the company's Kapolei refinery and 32 retail stations. Tesoro found that "our business in Hawaii does not align with our strategic focus on the midcontinent and West Coast," said President and CEO Gregory Goff. The refinery is capable of processing 94,000 barrels of oil per day, but it has processed below 70,000 barrels a day in recent years.
