Gains in Philippine exports ease, but domestic economy remains strong

The Philippines' strong currency and stagnant demand for Asian exports kept the country's gain in November exports below forecast at 5.5%. However, monetary authorities said a strong domestic economy in 2012's final quarter probably sustained better-than-expected overall growth for the year.
