Report: Small-pet market is on the rise

The small-pet market in the U.S. is bouncing back from the recession, and birds, fish, reptiles and small mammals account for 116 million pets, according to a report from the market research firm Packaged Facts. Those pets are likely to belong to families with children, and they receive grooming as well as toys and other products, according to the report.
