Moratorium on new hotel projects sought in Bali, Indonesia

The Bali chapter of the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association is calling on the local governments of Bali, Indonesia, to put a hold on hotel growth on the island, citing tourists' complaints that the area was getting overcrowded with lodging properties. "Many tourists complain about the current condition of Bali," said Ida Bagus Ngurah Wijaya, chairman of Indonesian Tourism's Bali chapter. "Too many buildings make them feel uncomfortable as it is too crowded. Buildings are everywhere and it is hard to find green areas."
