Travelers to Caribbean advised to take precaution against chikungunya

Travelers headed for St. Martin and other Caribbean islands are being advised by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to bring insect repellants and take precautions against mosquito bites to prevent contracting the chikungunya disease that is spreading across the islands. The agency's advisory notes that 98 cases of the disease have been recorded as of early January.
