Olive oil in moderation offers health benefits

"Virgin," "pure" and "extra light" olive oil all contain the same amount of monounsaturated fat, which is good for lowering LDL (or bad) cholesterol and raising HDL (or good) cholesterol, but they also are all high in calories. Extra virgin, which costs a bit more, is said to have the highest antioxidant levels.
