In the wake of the South Korean stem cell scandal, the journal Science has decided to change its process of vetting studies, as are many other respected journals, and the Seoul government is considering whether to conduct its own investigation of Hwang Woo-suk. Some advocates of stem cell research believe the U.S. should respond to the controversy by encouraging stem cell work in the U.S.
