Levin to review reports before deciding on weapons programs

The new Democratic chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee says he will wait until the Air Force makes an official request before commenting on plans to replace its aging tanker fleet. Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., also says he will wait until he reviews another independent cost study on the proposal for a multiyear F-22 Raptor procurement contract before deciding whether he supports or opposes the contract.
